Removal and change of implants:
This surgery takes 1 to 2 hours. The most common reason to change or replace breast implants is the duration. For example, if women use them for more than 20 years it can sometimes cause a prosthesis rupture. In some cases that might cause some discomfort, and it is recommended to change or remove them.
Recovery:
Patients stay at the clinic for 1 to 2 days after surgery. Post-operatory consultations every day with your doctor at destination until your return back to your country. You can return to work in few days if you have a sedentary job (not a physical job). We recommend up to 6 weeks after surgery to do any intense physical activity. You will continue to see improvement for several months after the surgery (from 6 to 12 months). A dressing will be placed on the breast, which might be swollen. Redness on the scars might be present for a few months depending on the procedure.
