What are butt implants?

Butt implants enhance the shape, size and appearance of one’s rear end and sculpt the area where the cheek meets the back of the thigh. The technique was highly perfected in the last few years, becoming a very common procedure and bringing results of surprising and natural appearance!

How does the procedure go?

Performed under general anesthesia, the procedure can last up to 3 hours. The technique is quite simple. After having made an incision of an average 6cm in the gluteal folds, the surgeon creates a pocket large enough to place the butt implants. Those are usually silicone implants, except for patients who can be elligible for fat grafting. Once the implants are inserted, the surgeon makes sure that each cheek is symmetrical and have a natural and esthetic look. The incisions are then closed, and a compression garment is applied.

Recovery

Patients will stay at the clinic for a period of 1 to 2 days after butt implants procedure, for daily post-surgery check ups. After the procedure, moderate pain is to be expected but can be controlled easily. Patients most of the time can go back to work a few days after the porcedure depending on their area of work. We recommend that patients wait at least 6 weeks to practice intense physical activity again. During the months following the procedure, continuous improvements will be observed. For a determined period of time, he continual wearing of the compression garment will also be recommended.
